DESIGN PROCESS

A discarded idea for a feature of our new technology was to make the body of the nanobot out of metal. Metal software for the nanobots would have been easier to manufacture and create the interiors of. We discarded this idea because the metal may have had a negative and dangerous effect on the blood once the Nanobot treatment was active. We ended up deciding to use silicone to make the nanobot with.

Another issue that we faced was the needed tool in order for the nanobots to fulfill its purpose: ridding of blood clots. The suggestions were tiny, sharp, knives that would slice through the blood clot and let the blood flow back to normal, or a targeted amount of heat energy emitted in order to burn away the clot. We decided on using the laser, because it would cause less possible health hazards, and had potential dangers that today’s science could eventually fix up.

We also ran into the problem of how to rid the body of the Nanobots once the treatment had been fulfilled. There were multiple options such as somehow causing the patient to excrete it, but we decided upon using reverse polarity. Using reverse polarity, we would magnetically attract the Nanobots to the similar part of the artery, and then remove the Nanobots with a needle. This process would be similar to doctors drawing blood from a patient for a blood test.
